Hello! I chose Mardi Gras as my event website.

Hi! I love the designs you made with the solid color boxes in the background in order to help the text stick out amongst the busy secondary background.

Alexandra, I am leaning toward your 2nd design, the first being too busy even for Mardi Gras. I do like your little fether logo on design one though, but it is a toss up between that and the comedy/tragedy maasks. I'm not understanding the purpose of the light purple in the upper left. Suprisingly, I like the green purple palette. I really like the idea of the events boldly stated. I always have problems on these sites finding the actual real content of the events so I appreciate that.

Mardi Gras...How fun!
I must say that I love the concept of this website and the colors are awesome. I like both versions; however, I really love the second version. The graphics, colors and fonts are very nice. The first version is a bit too busy for me and can be a little distracting from the main events going on in the website. You did a great job and I look forward to seeing how it all ends on this project. Well done!

Hi! The colors you have going on are a lot! I think you have a good set up for what you can work with. I just think that because everything is so vibrant and theres a lot of things going on, that nothing pops out in my opinion because everything is popping out.

Your web design ideas are really interesting. Especially, I think the first web design is colorful, complex, and diverse. I personally think it's really good. The second web design is neat and I think the layout is well placed. I also think your colors are really good. I think it's good if you mix these two web designs well. Thank you for introducing me to a special and unique event.

I love this!! The use of green and purple is so well done especially against that tan! it brings the colors out way more. This overall screams Mardi Gras so no notes form me but I especially love the second design!

Hi Alexandra, I'm leaning towards the second design since it's cleaner. I think pink and purple are a good way to symbolize Mardi Gras's colorfulness; I think the fonts don't separate what's most important to view first. Visually, it goes from the events heading to the four events, to the map, map heading, and then the paragraph text. White on a pale background is also hard to read; adding some black would help a bit. I love that second purple page, though. The layout is amazing, and the white on-purple text is a nice touch. Overall, great work!
