This looks really good! I like your use of imagery and how it plays off the rest of the design, I might have spent a bit more time on the responsiveness but otherwise this looks great!

Hi Kai,
I love the text-shadow effect you used, and well done on implementing a dropdown nav bar feature (for the 'Information' page). Do you attend the lantern festival? It'd be awesome to see it!

Kai, the Light Lantern draws the user into an experience even on the website.
Did classmate critiques: no ouch
eye catching home: yes
page about the event: yes
news page about the latest goings-on at the event: no
gallery page: yes
Event Schedule/calendar: yes
informational page on how people can get involved: no
map: yes
mail form: yes not completely working


You likely know responsive required portrait is not working if you send link to your cell phone you lose the nav bar unless user turns their phone horizontal Landscape mode: see https://ux.stackexchange.com/questions/ ... is-rotated

Info page was supposed to state how viewers could get involved with event.
email form should take user back to your site, but instead goes to list of files confusing user.
alt tags are needed on images. Also logo does not explain to someone what the logo actually looks like. alt tags are for those who cannot see the image and your descriptions in alt tags describe to them the image.
live and fully functional: yes mostly
title, meta tags, keywords, alt tags: mostly no
External Style sheet used to control layout: yes
Creative solution: yes
Clarity of communication: mostly
aesthetics: color, typography, layout, etc.: yes
effective navigation: yes
effective information and interface design: mostly
working-graphics submitted: yes
If we feel useful in life and loved, it sure makes life significant and wonderful
