Web Links

SEO Articles

The Beginners Guide to SEO - The best SEO walkthrough on the internet, bar none. Covers everything from keyword research, to search engine friendly website construction, to link building. Absolutely recommended.

SEO Made Simple: A Step-by-Step Guide - A great article about the nitty gritty of SEO. A bit WordPress focused, but has some great links to tools and really does a good job breaking down on-site SEO techniques and off-site SEO techniques. Highly recommended.

What Is SEO / Search Engine Optimization? - SearchEngineLand's great point-by-point breakdown of SEO. They even have a handy-dandy little "periodic table of the search elements" visual guide which makes for a good checklist/reminder. Highly recommended.

Back to Basics - SEO 101 - A good summary of SEO techniques with some great links to resources. I especially like the discussion of keyword synergy toward the end. Worth a read for sure.

Keyword Research

Google’s AdWords Keyword Tool - My favorite keyword research tool. Very thorough and tied into Google's algorithms. Use it and abuse it.

.htaccess

The Comprehensive Guide to .htaccess - Exactly what it says on the tin. A guide to .htaccess that covers all the critical points. Highly recommended.

The .htaccess Guide - Another very thorough guide to .htaccess. Good stuff.

Setting Up a Permanent 301 Redirect in .htaccess - Redirecting domains to different version of each other. Particularly handy for redirecting the "www" version of a domain to the "non-www" version or the other way around depending on your preference. Useful to minimize content duplication.

robots.txt

The Web Robots Page - A thorough guide to robots.txt and all of it's uses. Also contains a nice list of robots and how you can direct them. Recommended.

Accessibility

Web Accessibility in Mind - The best online resource for accessibility information on the web, bar none. This website contains easy to digest articles and tutorials on every aspect of accessible web design. Highly recommended!

Accessibility Basics for Designers - A quick design focused article on accessibility and what you as a designer can do to help improve accessibility and open your website to more users.

Accessibility Web Docs - Mozilla's in-depth but highly digestible tutorial on accessibility. It covers everything from simple HTML structuring all the way up to WAI-ARIA. Good stuff!

ARIA Roles and Attributes: How to Actually Use Them - A great little primer on ARIA and some great examples of how to use it in real world scenarios to supplement HTML5's inherent semantic code. Highly recommended.

ARIA Roles, States, and Properties - A neat list of ARIA role, state, and property attributes for use in your documents.

Accessible Rich Internet Applications (WAI-ARIA) 1.1 - The detailed W3C specifications for ARIA and it's uses. Very dry and a little hard to follow, but the most complete resource on ARIA on the web.
If we feel useful in life and loved, it sure makes life significant and wonderful
