I ended up using vintage illustrations from old advertisements to stand in for my product images, and I like how it ties in with my overall design. My favorite are the "electric" cures, like the Electric Belt with Medicated Felt, the Electro-Magnetic Ring, and even the Electric Foot Salve. Electricity was obviously a big buzz word at the turn of the century.
I found the sprite concept useful for building my menu buttons with rollovers. I think that's going to change how I put together my sites going forward, and I'll try to use them more often.
I did a little research about adding php to the contact form so that it would actually send thru the browser, but I didn't try to use it for this project. Maybe next time.
