Answers for Project 1 Rough Draft Friday due

Post by Instructor »

Please be sure you download the 'class files can be found here' https://www.grc275.com/index.html
Know that the index.html has all the code we have done in these first 2 videos-perhaps using that is easier for you to start even.

A rough is a rough draft. An imperfect model of what the final will look like. Look at what past years put up for their rough drafts for project one. I think cpeter2 posted his in a clean way.
Your site map can be a phone picture of a penciled site map if you like at this point, knowing the real map will be used in final turn in. Put it in your working folder items you will turn in later.
Please take screenshots of the indexHome page and one inner page.Please- do this for both a computer screen size, and also a cell phone size.
If you used the flex/grid codes etc. that the videos show, you can likely just grab the browser screen and shrink it over and then take a snip of it, since Friday's due assignment is just a rough draft.

So you can see with1Home+1 inner page for full screen and then 1Home+1 inner page for full screen
That would be 4 screens

But,  then because it states to do that for TWO ideas, you need to do the same again for your 2nd ideaThis is why you will post 8 screens on the forumPerhaps this 2nd set of screens uses a different color scheme, fonts, etc.

In the grc275 folder the project 1 link (https://www.grc275.com/p1.html) gives you the SNAG which means the site needs and goals analysis document, as well as the style guide document. is there. You should fill out those documents and just keep them in your working folder for now, and they will be turned in later. They do not need to be perfect-it is a rough draft, at this point. But do at least get them filled in.

Images if you are curious
Is showing an image in a portfolio to a prospective employer considered commercial-for-profit? Let's debate that.Meanwhile since you are doing this for education, please minimally put the citation of each image down in the footer section of each page the images are on or create a 7th Web page and put all your citations on that 7th page.

The rules of crediting images are different for education than images used commercially for profit. But if a student uses an image for education without getting or paying for permission and THEN later uses it for profit, there could be a high fine.Whether Education or profit, you still are to cite the image.

Yes, please be sure you have a citation page for images you used, but did not pay or get permission for, or create yourself.
If you can find images in Creative Commons, even better for you, in case you would ever want to use your work for commercial reasons, looking at that Creative Commons license lets you see how you could use that same image in the future.

Here is how you can get Creative Commons if you prefer to use them, as well as how to cite them.https://copyright.unimelb.edu.au/guides ... ing-google
