Re: Project 2 preliminary rough

Seems to me like the first design should be like a landing page that shows with an example of each type of stache. Then when a user clicks one it would link to that specific section with the second design used. Not sure if that is what you were going for but looks good so far. Will depend a lot on h...

Re: Project 2 Preliminary

I think the first design fits together a bit better than the second design. It seems a bit more natural and easy to progress through. That is the one I would pursue. If you want to use the second one I would rethink the product page layout a bit more especially the price and cart button have a lot o...

Re: Project two Preliminary

I think you have a good start with the cart stuff in your drawing. Since they are basically the same design I would go with either of the two and just roll with it. I think your site is coming along quite well and I look forward to seeing it when you get finished with the cart ie project 2

Codelab Plugins and News

Here are my designs for project two. As I'm not a huge fan of designing something twice I decided to bend the rules a bit and also design another page in my site that needs to be finished. Here is the design for the Plugins (my products) page. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/95516175/codelab_plugins.jpg Her...

Re: Codelab Final

My guess is you looked at it in a browser other than chrome 21+. I'm playing around with the new (2012) flexbox spec to achieve some of my layout which chrome is the only browser to support currently. Didn't bother with any fallbacks or polyfills since it's not a production website.

Re: Project 1 Final

Hard to give feedback. Not that you dont have enough to do but your logo is a bit ragged around the edges. literally. I'm a bit confused as to what the buttons are going to look like for your different pages. Normally the text is the button so are they like icons or what. Maybe it is just broken and...

Re: css sprite generator

Ill have to try this when I get a chance. Good for button fallbacks and stuff. But if you are using this purely for icons I would sugest something else instead of images. Just make you own icon font. http://icomoon.io/#toHome . Using icons in fonts is far superior to using png sprites for a few reas...

Re: Who wants to work on an outside Project with me

I would normally be down with this but I have been soo busy lately at work and I have one freelance project about to start so I don't think I could take this on. Also I hope you know the person you get to be your backend developer. I don't think anyone who is talented will take the same pay as a des...

Re: Codelab Final

@ brienicole - WordPress is awesome thing to learn. Once you have a general understanding of the CMS and can build your own themes you can basically get a job at any webshop. Especially if you know design too. @ miss_kristine - Yes the white line between the navigation and the purple background is i...

Re: Project1-Final

I like your start. You NEED to center this thing though. Right aligned is driving me crazy. I like the changing headers on the pages you have done. Totally need to continue that as you create the rest of the site. Add some more color. Get that purple from the nav all over the place. Its very grey an...
